Mondays Are for Movies and Chill at Waikiki Hostel

Ease into the week with a relaxed movie night in the Big Lounge. From 7 PM to 9 PM every Monday, we stream a crowd-pleasing flick from Netflix. Popcorn is available if you’re craving a snack, and guests are welcome to suggest movie picks ahead of time at the front desk. Whether you’re flying solo or hanging with new friends, it’s the perfect low-key way to unwind in good company.

No experience needed. Simply show up and let the creativity flow.

Kick off your weekend with one of Waikiki’s best free shows. Every Friday night, the Hilton Hawaiian Village sets off a stunning fireworks display over the beach. At 7:45pm, our staff leads a casual walk to the best viewing spots nearby. Whether you’re with a group or flying solo, it’s a fun way to see the skyline light up and wrap up your day with a little sparkle.

Sundays  ~ Free ~ makapu lighthouse hike

Get outside and explore the beauty of Oahu every Sunday with our free Southeast Oahu Tour, exclusively for hostel guests. From 8:30 AM to 1 PM, our team will guide you through some of the island’s most scenic spots. Hike the Makapuʻu Lighthouse Trail, take in the views at the Blow Hole and Pali Lookout, and stop for a quick beach photo on the Waimanalo side. It’s the perfect way to experience the island’s natural beauty with new friends by your side.

(2.0 miles (3.2 km) round‑trip)

Exciting news, adventurers! We're now offering a Southeast Oahu Tour exclusively for our guests. Join us every Sunday from 8:30 AM to 1 PM as we explore some of the island's most stunning spots.


A scenic drive to the Blow Hole, a hike on the Makapu'u Lighthouse trail.
Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
