We are located at, 2552 Lemon Road Honolulu, HI 96815, just inside the blue gate between the ABC store and Hawaiian Styles Rental shop on Lemon Road.

*Please reference any emails or third party messages for the gate code before arrival.

  • Airport transportation

Taxis are available for pick-up at the airport in the center median outside of baggage claim these typically cost 50 - 65 USD and take about 20 minutes to reach Waikiki.

Shuttles are available for walk-ups and/or through bookings made on their websites. They cost around 25 USD, and will drop you off at our front door. A shuttle takes about 45 minutes to an hour.

We recommend using either Roberts Hawaii, VIP Transport, or Speedi Shuttle.

The city bus costs $3 and takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the hostel on route #19 or #20. If you take the bus get off at the Waikiki Marriot stop, walk towards the beach for about 100m, then turn left at the ABC store. Our entrance is the green gate before the Moped shop.

Please keep in mind that if you choose to take the bus, all of your belonging should be able to fit in your lap (no roll on luggage is allowed) and exact change is needed in cash as they do not give change or accept any cards other than the HOLO Card (The Bus card).

*A HOLO card can be purchased at any ABC store and saves you money should you need to use the bus quite often during your time in Hawaii

  • How can i get to the airport between 12:00am and 6:00am

At that time of the morning, you may go by taxi/uber or take a shuttle. The Roberts Hawaii and SpeediShuttle companies run at those times, but must be arranged in advance. The taxi services typically charge a flat rate of $29, while uber and shuttle prices vary.

  • Where can I rent a car

All rental car services around Oahu are available online for reservations. We recommend using Hotwire.com and Turo.com to rent a car.

*Please note that most car rentals will be located at the airport.

  • Can i rent a moped close by?

There is a moped shop directly downstairs from the hostel. We even offer discounts for our guests to rent them!

  • What local food should i try

We love to talk about our local farmers markets as it includes heaps of Hawaiian specialties, however, if you are looking for some other spots to enjoy look into malasadas (Hawaiian donuts), poke (fish), saimin (soup), and loco mocos! Also just search along the roads closest to the ocean as you will always find local shaved ice, cafes, and sit down restaurants.

  • Are there any local sites/events that I should see

Lu’aus are always a special memory when witnessed in Hawaii as the locals have chosen to share this beautiful form of storytelling with those that come to Hawaii. Hikes and get togethers outside of Waikiki are also amazing to see what the nature in Hawaii is like. Overall, there are various kinds of activities to do while you are in Hawaii just ask us for more specific recommendations at reception and don’t be afraid to branch out, try something new!

  • What hikes are there to do in the area

There are various kinds of hikes from the easy and quick Diamond Head and Manoa Falls hikes; to the intermediate Koko Head and Lanikai Pillbox; all the way to the harder KuliÊ»ouÊ»ou Ridge and the Three Peaks trails. Of course if you would like to hear about any others, don’t hesitate to ask us at reception when you arrive.

  • How far is the nearest beach

Waikik Beach is half a block from our hostel. About 3 minutes walk to the white sands of Waikiki.
